Here's one more look at one of the prettiest trails we'll be riding on the City of Rocks Pioneer Trails Endurance Ride next month.
And this video rocks! Gaelic Storm sings the song "Beggarman."
I dare you not to tap your feet!

Yes, applause at the end and a good roll, too. Just awesome fun and beautiful territory. I loved the cow! ha!
ReplyDeleteUnbelieveable! That's so beautiful! Is this near where you live or do you have to drive there first with the horses? Thank you for the great movie!

Gorgeous scenery, once again. Love the view from between those eager ears. Jose really does love his job.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you'd need boots or shoes with some of those rocks, but when that footing is good, you certainly can move out. It's going to be a great ride!
Margaret, Jose did NOT love the cow, haha!
ReplyDeleteJanneke, the area is 4 hours away by horse trailer. Which means next week we start shuttling rigs and horses and supplies and equipment over there to start getting ready for the ride!
and Jean, Jose does love his job and he loves the scenery too.
I have a question for you. You have arabs and they endure... well, lots of use, to say the least. I have an eleven year old half arab/ half QH mare I am looking at to purchase. She is a lovely (LOVELY) trail horse and has a wonderful mind and disposition. She has mild ringbone... I will have my vet check her over thoroughly. I wondered, with all your horses go through... have you ever had a horse come down with this? I have read a lot about catching it early and "maintenance"... it doesn't necessarily mean a death sentence. I'm NOT asking you to make the decision for me, just wondered if you have any experience of this condition.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Oh Merrie ! That looks like a great ride ! I'd love to do that one someday.
ReplyDeleteWoah, If i'd only live closer! ; )
