One of the key moves in Horse Wrestling is the Strike.
Owyhee Sensei (and Social Director) Jose teaches his students the valuable move.
He show Mac how to do it.

Mac's got it!
Jose teaches Krusty.
Krusty's got it.
Krusty teaches Batman
Jose teaches Tex. You have to be good to avoid those teeth!
Funny, if there's one move I dislike - it's a strike! They can come so fast,be so dangerous & do such damage! GREAT photos though!
ReplyDeleteThis is an essential move for knocking down fence rails in between the combatants.
ReplyDeleteI still am figuring out the true scoring system for horse wrestling, but I do know a "lip hold" can also be a very effective move.
Love the pictures, as always. *S*
Ouch. You might not hafta be smart to be a horse, but ya gotta be tough!
ReplyDeleteThe front feet are as dangerous as the back feet. When I'm hand- breeding Beamer, I have to watch out for his front feet and the mare's back feet. Which means that I have to be agile on my feet!
ReplyDeleteYou get some great captures of horse behavior. I love how you make a story of the photos.
ReplyDeleteI love your playful shots.
ReplyDeleteInteresting pictures Merri.
ReplyDeleteLove your blogspot, but sure do miss the Adventures of Dudley.
