Owyhee Canyonlands Day 5



Saturday October 1 2011

Yes, we did it, all 5 days of the Owyhee Canyonlands! My first 5-day! The Raven's first 5-day! Jose's first 5-day!

It was also Connie's first 5-day and Finneas' first 5-day! Steph rode Rhett to finish all 5 days - her first 5-day on Rhett! Rhett is now 21 years old. His very first endurance ride(s) was 15 years ago on the 5-day Outlaw Trail where our neighbor Rick rode him.


But wait - that's not all - it's a tradition at our 5-day Owyhee Canyonlands rides that our head veterinarian Robert Washington hands out an unofficial 5-day Best Condition horse - "the horse who, if I was being chased by Indians, I'd like to make my escape on" - and it was

JOSE VIOLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
