A Taste of a Montana Winter
Sunday February 20 2011
Only a week-long taste, but it was delicious.
The Raven also thinks it's fabulous.
Lonesome meets The Raven
Rebel meets The Raven
I found bobcat tracks one day, very likely cougar tracks another day (we went back and checked, and I'm even more certain that's what it was). These are coyote tracks - you can see the symmetrical shape to the paw and the claws. They look big, but it was soft snow and they were a day or so old.

ReplyDeleteI love the horses playing in the snow. What fun!
What gorgeous country!! I am glad the Raven approves.
ReplyDeleteAs for the tracks...well, at least your paranoia was confirmed.
That looks like a fair sized coyote too. When one was killed on the road here, I was surprised at how big it was. I keep having this picture in my mind of coyotes being a lot smaller.
You are the equestrian vagabond. I love following your travels.
ReplyDeleteHey, I recognize that horse! Hi, Loney!
ReplyDeleteIt surely is pretty there, but I'm glad the sn*w is in Montana where it belongs instead of here in the Swamp where it does NOT belong. ;-)
