Groom Wanted

Tuesday January 31 2012

The dirtbags are really going at it.

Rolling is actively supervised, encouraged, and cheered.

They're so dirty (how dirty are they?) that the brushes have run off in terror.

They're so dirty it may take till spring to get them clean, unless a groom shows up here and gets to work.

I'd do it but… I have to go wash my hair or something.

  1. Oh don't worry about it, they'll just keep rolling and rolling until it gets drier and then the mud will get knocked off when they roll. It's all good. :D

  2. Please send your extra applicants to my casa. I had convinced myself that Dixie wasn't THAT stained til I clipped her neck... wow she's actually a naturally snow-white paint, and the yellowish tint is all crud. :(

  3. Gotta love 'em.... you'd break down & cry otherwise!

Think positive - look forward to Spring, when they will shed all the muck off with their coat :-)

  4. Mine look the same as yours!! The mud is drying up a bit with this strange, warm weather though...but, I'm sure we've not seen the last of winter!

  5. Have to LOL at reading your post & viewing the photos of those nice "wintery" looking horses ;-) Doubt you'd find a groom ready to tackle that bunch! Mine are starting the Great Shed!

  6. Let's face it, as long as they are enjoying themselves, you might as well too. Besides if it rains, they'll get washed off and in the meantime, "mud is in." Do you think they are just trying to all look alike so neither you nor any potential predators can tell one from another???

  7. Gotta love my buckskin and black horses.but just don't pat them too hard or a dust cloud will consume everything...

This post is just too funny!

  8. Our horses love the dirt, too, and it sure sticks on the thick winter coats.
