Bring It On!

Thursday November 18 2010

The timing is about right: last year we got our first skiff of snow on November 14th; the first real snowfall came on November 22.

I've heard that, due to one of the Niñoa weather siblings (Niño or Niña, I can't tell the two apart) this will be a cold wet winter.

Bring it on!

  1. I think this weather system is widespread, at least in the western half of the continent!

  2. My little weather pictures look nothing like yours. Thank you, God, for small favors! Ours just show the wind generators and say 'Breezy'. Uh oh....breezy here means lots and lots of wind!
Get your fire going, get a few movies and enjoy staying warm inside!

  3. Oh, I am already longing for Spring....

As for the muddy boy below? Really amazing. He must have worked hard to get that pattern worked out. *lol*

  5. Your forecast looks a lot like ours. I'm looking forward to snow, too.

  6. I am sulking right now. Yesterday we had a huge winter storm watch, with 100% chance of snow today and tonight and tomorrow and total accumulations of at least a foot in our valley... but we only got 2 inches last night, then it turned sunny and clear today! I am so disappointed :(

I hope you get a lovely first snow!

PS - it's a La Niña year. Last year was El Niño. Apparently down here we will either get lots and lots of snow, or hardly any snow at all - depends on where the jet stream ends up going. Real specific, huh?

  7. I"m done obsessing over the weather forecasts for the year. My daddy is coming to Thanksgiving dinner & he will move mountains to get here. The ride season is over for the year, I'm good. :)

  8. We used to do that with weather forecasts in Michigan. Now in New Mexico, not so much...
